BAD IDEA
Can fish drown?
Fish can’t drown like land animals, but they can suffocate if their gills don’t get enough oxygen.
Fish breathe by extracting oxygen from water through their gills, so they don’t drown in the traditional sense. However, if their gills are damaged, clogged, or the water lacks oxygen, fish can suffocate—think of it as drowning’s annoying aquatic cousin. So yes, fish can ‘drown’ only if their oxygen supply is cut off or their gills fail to do their job.
